Congratulations and welcome to Artisan MRKT! Before you can move into your space, please familiarize yourself with our Dos and Don’t's, T&Cs and review this FAQ page. All memberships are month-to-month and renew automatically unless you give a 30-day cancellation notice. You'll pay for the first month and a security deposit upfront. If you decide to cancel, just give 30 days' notice via membership cancellation request form, and your deposit will cover that time.

1. Introduction

This Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between the member ("member") and Artisan MRKT, collectively referred to as the "Parties," for the purpose of establishing terms and conditions related to the display and sale of goods at Artisan MRKT retail locations (the "Property").

 

2. Goods and Pricing

2.1 Goods Selection and Display:

The member agrees to provide a selection of goods ("Goods") exclusively chosen by the member for sale at the Property. The Goods will be displayed at a Space agreed upon by both the member and Artisan MRKT. Artisan MRKT reserves the right to relocate the member's Goods to an alternate but equivalent Space on the Property for reasons including, but not limited to, remerchandising and loss prevention. Artisan MRKT will provide the member no less than 48 hours notice of the move.

 

2.2 Third party intellectual property rights Policy

All goods must be accurately described and must not infringe upon any third party intellectual property rights. If goods infringe on third party intellectual rights, Artisan MRKT assume no responsibility for the infringement and it falls entirely on the member of the goods.

 

2.3 Base Price and Processing Fee

The member shall set the base sale price ("Base Price") for each Goods item, inclusive of all applicable sales taxes. Artisan MRKT will add thirteen percent (13%) as a processing fee ("Processing Fee") to the retail price at checkout, with Artisan MRKT retaining the Processing Fee following the sale.

 

2.4 Payment for Goods Sold

Artisan MRKT will pay the member the base price for all goods sold at Artisan MRKT retail locations. Sales are directly deposited into the members bank account based on Artisan MRKT Payouts Schedule.


2.5 Non-Refundable Deposit Fee

Artisan MRKT requires a non-refundable deposit fee of $50 CAD to secure your spot. This deposit will be deducted at the time of your membership payment and once your products have been placed on the shelves. If you decide not to proceed with your membership at Artisan MRKT, the deposit will be forfeited. The deposit fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

 

3. Memberships Fees

3.1 Membership Fees

The member agrees to provide the Goods in exchange for a Membership fee ("Membership"), as outlined below. All Membership fees will be collected via automatic withdrawal from the member's credit card on file on the payment due date each month. Artisan MRKT will implement the Past Due / Late Payment Policies for past due payments.

 

3.2 Payment Schedule

Artisan MRKT will bill members for Membership fees seven days in advance to allow for a buffer period for any payment issues.

 

4. Members' Responsibilities

4.1 Goods Delivery and Display:

The member is responsible for delivering Goods to Artisan MRKT and preparing them for display at the agreed-upon Space during pre-booked scheduled times.

 

4.2 Space Maintenance

The member must maintain and organize their designated Space, ensuring it is regularly set up, decorated, and restocked. With the exception of members located out of province or town, with your permission and upon receipt of your shipments, you can send us an email and a picture of your ideal display is recommended, and we will gladly restock the items on your behalf.

 

4.3 Restock Policy

The member agrees to visit the Property during designated operating hours. Please note that we are closed on Statutory holidays. All restocking and shelf adjustments must be done during pre-booked time slots via the booking page. Notify staff at least 24 hours in advance at cabbagetown@artisanmrkt.ca. DMs will not be monitored. If you can't make your appointment, cancel and reschedule to free up the slot.

  • Products without labels cannot be sold.
  • Labeling must be done at your workspace, not in the store.
  • Keep the space clean and free of trash.
  • Exceptions for in-store labeling:
    • Fixing mislabeled products
    • Running promotions or price adjustments
    • Adjusting item codes

 

4.4 Membership Fee Payment

The member is responsible for paying membership fees to Artisan MRKT on time.

 

4.5 Loss and Damage

The member assumes responsibility for any loss or damage to Goods, displays, or related materials, including during shipping, handling, or while on the Property.

 

4.6 Tax Collection and Remittance

The member is responsible for collecting and remitting any applicable sales taxes promptly, as stipulated by law, indemnifying Artisan MRKT for any failure to do so.

 

4.7 Insurance Requirements

Artisan MRKT highly recommends that members obtain applicable Business Liability Insurance and Certificates for Goods. Requirements apply to specific categories, as detailed on Canada.ca/Insurance.

 

4.8 Conflict of Interest

Members who are actively selling their Goods at Artisan MRKT are prohibited from concurrently operating their own standalone physical store, offering the same or similar goods and/or business model. Members found in violation may face corrective actions, including potential termination of their participation at Artisan MRKT.

 

4.9 Removal of Goods

As part of Artisan MRKT' Terms and conditions, we retain the right to remove Goods or members' displays if, at our discretion, they are deemed offensive or inconsistent with advertising standards.

 

4.10 Dos and Don’ts

The member is obligated to comply with Artisan MRKT dos and don’ts, as outlined on the membership FAQ page. Any breach of the Artisan MRKT dos and don'ts  will result in immediate termination of membership and move out within 48 hours.

 

5. Membership Terms

5.1 Membership and renewal

All memberships are for a duration of one(1) month and will automatically renew unless a proper 30-day notice via a membership cancellation form is provided beforehand. Membership fees will be collected prior to the start of the following month.

 

5.2 Holiday Move Out Blackout Period

A blackout period exists from December 10 to January 31, during which End Term Notices submitted between November 11 and December 30 will be processed on December 31.

 

5.3 Ending Your Agreement

Notice to end your membership must be submitted via the Membership Cancellation request Form, at least 30 days prior to completing the Membership.  Email does not qualify has providing notice to cancel your membership.  Please complete the Membership Cancellation Request form should you wish to end your contract, and not renew for another month. Once your form is submitted your move out date will be 1 month post submission.  A confirmation message will appear once your form has been submitted.

As per membership contracts, all memberships renew if proper notice is not provided.  Please refer to your contract to find the dates of your specific account.

  

5.4 Termination of Memberships:

Artisan MRKT reserves the right to terminate memberships for various reasons, including but not limited to, non-compliance with store policies, member dos and don'ts, terms and conditions low monthly sales, unpaid invoices, or disputes related to Membership payments.

 

5.5 Disclaimer Use of CRM Tool and Customer Data

Artisan MRKT utilizes a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to efficiently manage customer communications and interactions. The data collected and stored within this CRM tool are for the sole purpose of facilitating communication between Artisan MRKT and its customers.

By providing your information and engaging with Artisan MRKT, you consent to the collection and use of your data for communication purposes only. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled with the utmost care and confidentiality.

Artisan MRKT does not share, sell, or distribute customer data to third parties for any purpose other than facilitating communication and providing services to our customers. We take appropriate measures to protect the security and integrity of the data stored within our CRM tool.

While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy and security of the data, Artisan MRKT shall not be held liable for any damages or losses arising from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure of customer data beyond our reasonable control.

By engaging with Artisan MRKT and providing your information, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined in this disclaimer regarding the use of CRM tools for storing and managing customer data.

5.6 Stripe User Agreement

Payment processing services for Artisan MRKT's members at Artisan MRKT are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). By agreeing to this agreement or continuing to operate as a member of Artisan MRKT at Artisan MRKT, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of Artisan MRKT enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide Artisan MRKT accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize Artisan MRKT to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.

 

6. Terms and Conditions for Product Sourcing and Resale

6.1. Product Authenticity and Sourcing

By agreeing to these terms, the Member certifies that all products submitted for sale are original and not sourced wholesale from third-party platforms such as but not limited to AliExpress, Amazon, Temu, Alibaba, or similar, to be resold unaltered. All products must be handmade, hand-designed, uniquely crafted, or substantially modified to ensure their authenticity and uniqueness.

 

6.2. Compliance and Integrity

Members must ensure full compliance with this policy at all times. The Member acknowledges that misrepresentation of product sourcing or resale of unmodified wholesale items constitutes a breach of trust and is strictly prohibited.

 

6.3. Monitoring and Enforcement

We reserve the right to monitor and verify product authenticity at any time. If a Vendor is found to be in violation of this policy, the following actions will be taken:

  • Immediate removal of the violating products from the store.
  • Termination of the Vendor’s membership without the option of a refund.
  • Possible disqualification from future participation.

 

6.4. Member Responsibility

The Member accepts full responsibility for ensuring their products adhere to this policy. Any attempts to circumvent this policy by misrepresenting the origin, nature, or authenticity of products will be considered a deliberate violation.

 

6.5. Acknowledgment and Agreement

By listing products for sale, the Member acknowledges their understanding and acceptance of these terms. This agreement is binding and non-negotiable.

 

 

7. AI-Generated Art Policy

At Artisan MRKT, we are committed to showcasing original,                      work by our talented artisans. We do not accept AI-generated art of any kind. If an artist is found to be displaying AI-generated work, their items will be immediately removed from their display, and their membership fee will not be refunded.

By participating in Artisan MRKT, all members agree to uphold this policy and maintain the integrity of our creative community.

 

  1. Social Media Policy

As part of your membership, we will feature a vendor spotlight post, provided you’ve submitted your business blurb and the 5–6 images requested during onboarding.

We’ll also highlight the products you bring to our store in some of our posts and reels. While we strive to tag and invite vendors to collaborate when possible, this will depend on the availability of collaborator slots.

We reserve the right to decline or remove any social media posts or tags that do not align with our values and brand. Similarly, while we encourage tagging us in your posts, we may choose to repost or remove tags at our discretion if they don’t align with our values.

Please note that members are also expected to actively promote their own products and business. Artisan MRKT's social media efforts are designed to supplement your promotional activities, but members should not rely solely on Artisan MRKT to promote their business.

Our goal is to create a cohesive and supportive environment that reflects our shared brand vision while showcasing your business to its fullest potential.

 

  1. Collaboration & Membership Policy

At Artisan MRKT, we value our community of artists and members and occasionally collaborate with select individuals to create workshops and events that align with our brand and customer base. While we appreciate the creativity and talent within our membership, signing up for a membership does not guarantee a collaboration opportunity.

We carefully curate partnerships based on what we believe will be the best fit for our store and customers. All collaboration decisions, including workshop selections and featured artists, are made at our sole discretion. Artisan MRKT reserves the right to determine which partnerships will be most beneficial and aligned with our brand vision.

Our goal is to foster meaningful and impactful collaborations that enhance the experience of our customers while maintaining the integrity and direction of Artisan MRKT.

 

10. Amendments to Policy

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes, and continued participation will constitute acceptance of the revised terms.

      • Do adhere to laws and intellectual property rights.

 

      • Do address concerns or complaints respectfully with store management.

 

      • Do report any misconduct to store management promptly.

 

      • ***Adherence to these guidelines fosters a professional and welcoming environment for customers and other members.

 

    • ***Failure to comply will result in immediate agreement termination and move-out within 48 hours.

Members have 2 weeks from the date they're accepted and pay their deposit to move into their assigned space. If you foresee any delays in moving in, please let the store manager know at least 24 hours before your scheduled setup time.

 

A non-refundable deposit fee of $50+HST is required to secure your shelving space at Artisan MRKT. The amount will be applied as a credit toward your new membership payment once you have moved in.

 

Notification & Extension Policy

24-Hour Notice Required: To ensure smooth operations, members must notify Artisan MRKT at least 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend their scheduled set-up day.

 

Maximum 5-Day Extension: If you can't make your scheduled set-up day, we offer a one-time extension of up to 5 days. Please note, if we don’t hear from you within this window, your membership will automatically begin after the 5-day extension.

 

Your membership payment for the first and last month will be charged on your move-in day. The credit card on file will be charged automatically, so please ensure sufficient funds are available. As a friendly reminder, we only accept credit card payments for membership fees.

 

Communication & Extensions:

We know that sometimes life happens! If you anticipate any delays in moving into your space, please reach out to us as soon as possible. We’re happy to review extension requests on a case-by-case basis – just let us know, and we’ll do our best to work with you.

All extensions will need approval from our management team.

 

Failure to Move In:

We want to make sure you get the most out of your membership! However, if a member hasn’t moved into their space within 4 weeks of paying their deposit, the membership will be canceled and the deposit payment will not be refunded.

 

Cancellation Notification:

If you haven’t moved in within 4 weeks and we haven’t heard from you, we’ll assume you’re no longer moving forward. In this case, your membership will be canceled and your deposit will not be refunded.

To ensure a smooth and organized experience for everyone, all restocking or shelf adjustments must be done during pre-booked time slots via this dedicated booking page.

 

Time slots are available in 1-hour intervals, and restocking should take place during the following hours:

  • 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Weekdays)
  • 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Weekends)

 

Please notify staff or management at least 24 hours in advance via this email cabbagetown@artisanmrkt.ca if you plan to make adjustments or restock your shelves. DMs will not be monitored.

 

This ensures we can inform customers about when you will be restocking and what they can expect, helping us create a better shopping experience.

 

If you are unable to make your appointment, kindly cancel and reschedule as soon as possible to free up the slot for other members.

 

Time Slot Usage:

Your one-hour slot is for you to use, so please ensure all restocking and adjustments are completed within that time. If you are, for example, 15 minutes late, you will have 45 minutes remaining out of your allotted time. Please be mindful of your time slot to allow others the opportunity to book theirs as well.

 

Important Reminders:

  • Products without labels cannot be sold.
  • Labeling must be completed at your workspace, not in the store.
  • Please tidy up after yourself and ensure no trash is left behind. Let’s keep the space clean and welcoming for everyone.
  • Some exceptions** for labeling at the store include:
    • Mislabeled products
    • Running promotions or lowering current prices
    • Adjusting item codes

 

**Ideally, please print out your labels at your workspace, then simply apply them to products at the store.

 

If you need to make any adjustments to your shelving unit, please also book a time slot in advance.

 

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Following these guidelines ensures a professional and seamless environment for all members and customers.

Entry Shelf - 3,4,5 tiered shelving unit $ 275 + taxes/month (we provide it)

2.5ft Display - $ 375 + taxes/month (Bring your own display)

4.5ft Display - $ 525 + taxes/month (Bring your own display)

 

**This option is exclusively available to non-perishable food vendors. It features a two-tier shelving unit, measuring approximately 14" in height and 22" in width. Vendors selecting this option must meet the non-perishable food criteria; any other vendors choosing this option will not be considered. For alternative shelving options, please refer to the 5-tier shelving unit, 2.5 FT wall or 4.5 FT wall.

Some examples of non-perishable Food items that we would consider.

      • Preserves & Spreads – Along with other fruit spreads, honey, and nut butters. These products are non-perishable as long as they remain sealed.
      • Dry Goods Vendors – including pasta, rice, grains, and cereals.
      • Snack Foods Vendors – offering chips, crackers, nuts, and granola bars.
      • Beverage Vendors – selling bottled water, canned sodas, or boxed juices.
      • Spices, condiments and Seasonings Vendors – providing herbs, hot sauces, mustards, spices, or packaged seasoning mixes. as long as they are in sealed, non-refrigerated packaging.
      • Baking Ingredients Vendors – such as flour, sugar, and dried fruits.
      • Jerky and Dried Meats Vendors – offering beef, turkey, or other dried meats.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The membership payments will be collected on the same day as your setup. We will collect both the first and last month's payment. The last month’s payment is kept as a security deposit, as we require a 30-day notice for cancellations via our cancellation request form.

Additionally, the deposit for the shelving will be applied as a credit toward your first membership invoice.

 

The same credit card you used to make the deposit payment will be charged for the membership, as we require a credit card for all payments and do not accept other methods.

If you’d prefer your membership to be charged to a different card than the one you used for the deposit, please let us know and provide the new credit card details.

Membership fees are paid every month through automatic credit card withdrawal using Stripe. The system charges you 7 days before your renewal date to allow time for any payment issues. This means your payment is taken 7 days before your renewal date every month. Sadly, we are unable to change the invoice date on Stripe to match your payment period exactly due to limitations in the system.

 

For example, if you start on June 15th, your first payment covers June 15th to July 15th. After that, your monthly payment is always on the 8th of the month (7 days before the 15th), covering the 15th to the 15th.

At Artisan MRKT, we collect your first and last month’s payment upfront when you sign up. This ensures a smooth and hassle-free process when you decide to leave.

 

How It Works:

  • The last month’s fee is held to cover your final month with us.
  • We require 30 days' notice to cancel your membership. You will need to submit a membership cancellation request Form

 

Scenario 1:

Let’s say you join on December 11th, 2024.

  • At sign-up, we collect payment for December and your final month.
  • On January 11th, 2025, your membership will automatically renew unless you choose to cancel. If you decide to cancel, simply submit a Membership Cancellation Form at least 30 days before your next billing date.

 

Scenario 2:

You start your membership on December 11th, 2024. By September 2025, you decide to cancel.

  • You submit the cancellation form in September.
  • Your membership continues until October 11th, 2025 (30 days later).
  • You owe nothing further because the last month’s fee collected at the start covers October’s payment.

 

New members will receive Stripe* set up instructions during the onboarding process right after your move in and membership payments have been collected.

 

 If you have not received a sign up link by your move in date, please email support@artisanmrkt.ca with the email subject 'Stripe Account Setup'.

 

Artisan MRKT teams up with Stripe* to handle payments from customers at our store, and then we send the money to you! Each member sets up a Stripe account, which connects to your bank account. This account only lets us send payouts from Artisan MRKT to you, and we can't take any money from your account for membership fees.

 

Payout Schedule:

Product sales payouts are sent on a bi-monthly basis. There's approximately a 2 week delay from the end of the sales period to the date of payout

Sales period of the 1st - 31st -> Paid out on the 15th of the following month Sales period

 

Important to Note:

  • Processing time can be 2-4 business days, depending on your bank
  • If the 1st or 16th falls on a weekend, payouts will be sent on the following MONDAY

 

To receive payouts for product sales:

1) Make sure all membership fees, are paid up-to-date.

2) If a payout is missed due to unpaid fees, the missed sales will be paid out on the next scheduled payout date.

Your sales payouts are processed on a regular schedule, following each sales period. Why the two-week Delay?

The delay ensures that your payout is accurate by accounting. This two-week window allows us to finalize the amount, preventing any discrepancies in your payout.

 

If the 1st or 16th falls on a weekend or holiday, your payout will be sent on the following business day

 

Processing Time

Once the payout is initiated, it usually takes 3-5 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank's processing times.

 

Weekend and Statutory Holiday

If the 1st or 16th of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, your payout will be processed on the next business day.

Once you are logged into MVPOS, click on "Inventory"

 

 

 

Your Vendor Code will be listed next to your Business Name! This is what you will be using

to create your SKU Codes.

 

Retail Price must be whole numbers only - (e.g., $35 or $35.00 - not $35.27 or $34.99)

Every product label displayed or sold in your showcase must include the retail price. Prices should be whole numbers only. Tax may only be incorporated into the pricing if you are a registered business (i.e., possessing an HST number).

 

If you are a registered business with the CRA for tax purposes:

Prices must be whole numbers.

Prices must INCLUDE all applicable taxes.

Avoid indicating that tax is included in the products/signage (as the store imposes a 13% service fee – please refer to more information on Service Fee – which could potentially mislead customers into assuming the product is a flat price).

 

General Price labelling guidelines:

      1. Every product brought into Artisan MRKT must have the right label format.
      2. Never write labels by hand.
      3. Label products before bringing them into the store; please don't label them inside the store.
      4. Products with the wrong labels or no labels on won't be sold.

Regulated Label Information

All products are REQUIRED BY LAW in Canada to feature regulated labelling information such as INGREDIENTS, BEST BEFORE DATES, and any MATERIALS WITH POTENTIAL TO CAUSE ALLERGY. This requirement applies to various product categories, BUT NOT LIMITED TO including FOOD AND BEVERAGES, COSMETICS, TABLEWARE, PRECIOUS METALS, TEXTILES, and CLOTHING, among others.

 

Check out the Government of Canada's website for more info. As a small business owner, it is essential to conduct due diligence and understand your legal obligations.

Artisan MRKT requires all products to have specific labels with a code called SKU. This code helps our cashiers find products quickly at the register. Each product label needs a unique SKU that matches an inventory listing. SKUs can be the same for different versions of a product if they have the same price.

For example, both "small ring dish" and "Large ring dish" can have the same SKU, like DH001-DIS

 

General labelling guidelines:

      1. Every product brought into Artisan MRKT must have the right label format.
      2. Only typed labels are acceptable; labels should never be handwritten.
      3. Label products before bringing them into the store; please don't label them inside the store.
      4. Products with the wrong labels or without labels on won't be sold.

 

Your SKU code consists of a Vendor Code and a Product Code.

 

Below is an example of how your label should be formatted.

 

 

 

 

How to add/enter your SKUs on MVPOS

After you have created your SKUs and labeled your products, you may now enter them into MVPOS to track your inventory and sales.

 

  • Add the Name, Price, and Item Number (SKU)
  • The ITEM NUMBER / SKU field is used to search for your products at the cash register
  • All SKUs must be formatted to vendor code-product code.
  • Please ensure that each item has a unique SKU, otherwise sales may not be processed correctly.
  • We do not use barcodes at Artisan MRKT, so please leave the barcode field empty.

 

 

Congratulations! Your first item has now been added and it will be now available for purchase.

 

 

Login to your MVPOS account.

 

Go to Inventory> Scroll all the down to check the quantity available.

 

 

 

If you want to check for items being sold out as well; then click on the "show out of the inventory" and it will also show items that have been sold out.

Please allow 1-3 business days for a response, during our opening hours only.

To make sure payments are fair and smooth, we've set up a policy for late payments on membership accounts. If a payment is overdue by 14 days:

 

1. Payouts to the member linked to the account will be put on hold until the full membership fee payment is received.

2. We'll let the member know about the delay and ask them to pay the outstanding amount to get things back to normal.

 

Products taken off shelves if membership fee payment is 30 days late.

If a member's fee payment is 30 days late, here's what happens:

 

1. Products will be taken off shelves until payment is made.

2. The member will get a final notice about the removal of their products and the need for immediate payment to get them back.

3. If the payment isn't made soon after, their membership might be canceled, or we might take legal action to get the money.

 

Vendors should keep up with payments. If we have to remind you about overdue invoices three times in 3 months, your membership might be canceled.

 

Remember:

- We'll let you know when payments are due and remind you if they're late.

- Once you pay what you owe, your products will go back on the shelves.

Artisan MRKT applies a 13% 'Service Fee' to all retail sales transactions. This fee is retained by Artisan MRKT to offset additional expenses incurred as sales volumes increase, such as the cost of marketing materials, gift bags, shopping bags, gift wrapping, as well as credit card and payout transaction fees.

 

The Service Fee enables Artisan MRKT to maintain the practice of providing members with 100% of their sales revenue, without deducting any commissions or percentages from sales.

 

Customers are responsible for covering the 13% Service Fee.

 

For example:

Base Price of Product: $8 + 13% processing Fee = $9.04

You, as the seller, receive the $8.00 Base Price, while the customer pays a total of $9.04.

 

Product prices displayed in the store include taxes. With over 80 makers represented in each location, some members fall below the GST threshold and do not charge tax, while others do. For those who do include taxes, they are incorporated into the listed price.

 

When making a purchase from Artisan MRKT, you are directly supporting the individual member from whom you are buying.

 

Have you recently switched banks or need to update your banking information? Please follow the instructions below.

 

Changing Your Banking Details:

To update the bank account where your sales are deposited, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Stripe account at Stripe Login
  2. Once logged in, click on the menu icon at the top right (depicted as a person) and select 'Artisan MRKT'.
  3. Under 'Payout Details', locate the account already linked and click the edit pencil icon.
  4. Update the fields with the new banking information, including Transit #, institution #, and bank account #.
  5. Caution: Avoid clicking the delete button as it may result in your account being locked. Ensure to click the edit button instead.

Members are encouraged to run promotions within their displays, subject to the following criteria:

 

  • Promotions must be communicated to customers within their designated space using clear and secure signage. Handwritten signs are not permitted, and members are responsible for placing the signage within their allocated area.
  • Notification of the promotion must be sent to the store via email, allowing 3 business days for the promotion to become active.
  • All items included in the promotion must be individually labeled with the promotion details, such as "15% off" or "buy 3, save $5", to ensure smooth discount processing at the register without the need for additional reference to the display shelf.

 

Make sure to also label those items you would like to be part of the promotion:

Add a separate label to your products, or use the same label if the promotion is ongoing.

Once you have labeled all your items and notified us about the promotion via email, we will manually adjust the prices to reflect the final promotional amount.

 

This ensures staff can easily apply discounts at checkout without needing to check your shelf.

 

Use secure, professional signage to inform customers about the promotion—handwritten signs are not permitted. Make sure your signage is displayed within your assigned area.

At checkout, we will then select each card individually and manually adjust the prices to ensure they align with the final promotional price.

 

For example, if you're running a promotion for 3 greeting cards at $20 that are selling for $8 each, The individual prices will be adjusted as follows:

Greeting Card 1 - $6.66

Greeting Card 2 - $6.67

Greeting Card 3 - $6.67

Total: $20

 

This process ensures that the promotion is applied accurately and that your inventory is being deducted accordingly.

Here are some reasons payouts might be delayed, along with tips to resolve them:

 

  1. Incorrect Bank Details
    Double-check that your bank account information (Transit #, Institution #, and Account #) is correct in Stripe. Do not link a debit or credit card to your Stripe account—payouts can only be transferred to your bank account.

 

  1. Incomplete Stripe Account Setup
    Make sure your Stripe account is fully set up. You’ll receive an email from Stripe if additional verification is needed.

The reason Stripe may request additional documents is for various reasons, including but not limited to the incorporation or registration of your business. Stripe wants to ensure that Artisan MRKT is paying out to legitimate businesses.

  1. Outstanding Membership Fees
    Ensure that all membership fees, including deposits, are up to date. Payouts can’t be processed until all fees are settled. If delayed, the missed payouts will be included in your next scheduled payment.

 

  1. Missing Payout Notifications
    If you’re not receiving our payout notifications, check your spam or junk folder.

 

 

By keeping these steps in check, you can avoid payout delays and ensure smooth transactions.

The membership program cannot be combined with any other promotions run by the store, including but not limited to the Grand Opening signup discount.

1. Eligibility: The referral program is available to all current approved members of our space who are in good standing and have no outstanding rental fees.

 

2. Referral Process: Approved existing members can refer new applicants to our space. Referrals must be made by providing the applicant's details to our management team.

 

3. Approval Criteria: To be eligible for the referral program, the referred applicant must meet our standard approval criteria for membership.

 

4. Referral Benefit: Upon approval of the referred applicant as a new member, both the referrer and the new member will receive a 10% discount on their rental space for the first month.

 

5. Applying the Discount: The discount will be applied to the rental space fees for the first month after approval. It will be deducted from the total rental fee payable by both the referrer and the new member.

 

6. Limits: The referral discount applies only to the first month's rental space fees and cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers.

 

7. Communication: The referrer will be notified of the approval of the referred applicant and the application of the discount to their respective rental space fees.

 

8. Term: This referral program is ongoing and subject to change or termination at the discretion of our management team.

 

9. Multiple Referrals: There is no limit to the number of referrals an existing member can make, and they will receive the 10% discount on their rental space for each approved referral's first month.

 

10. Referrer's Status: The referrer must remain an approved existing member in good standing to receive the referral discount. If the referrer's membership status changes before the new member's approval, the referral discount may be forfeited.

 

11. Approval Process: The referral discount will be applied upon approval of the referred applicant and will be reflected in the first month's rental invoice.

 

12. Verification: Management reserves the right to verify the eligibility of referrals and to modify or revoke the referral discount if any fraudulent or dishonest behavior is suspected.

 

13. Notification: Any changes to the referral program rules will be communicated to all existing members via email or other appropriate channels.

 

14. Discretion: Management reserves the right to exercise discretion in the application of these rules and in the resolution of any disputes arising from the referral program.

 

These rules outline the guidelines for our member referral program, ensuring fairness and transparency for all participants.

Please note that we do not offer exchanges or store credit. We understand and deeply appreciate the hard work and creativity that go into each item, which is why we aim to support both our artisans and customers. However, as our artisan lineup changes regularly, we kindly ask that customers reach out directly to the maker if they wish to discuss exchanges.

For security and privacy reasons, no vendors are allowed behind the checkout counter or in the basement—only management, employees and staff have access. If you need stock from the basement, just let us know, and we’ll be happy to grab it for you. Thanks for understanding!
